Name
TIFFANY & GALLÉ and the Art Nouveau masters from the Museum of Applied Arts in Budapest
Description
The aim of the exhibit is to showcase masterpieces of the last century, whose innovative techniques still have great importance in art and culture. On display are the works of Louis Comfort Tiffany made using the Orléans technique, which were shown for the first time in Paris and since 1898 in Budapest. In addition to the works by Tiffany, the exhibit presents important artworks by of Lalique, Gallé, Chini and many others that are the result of individual research on this style. The exhibition is part of the Hungarian-Italian Cultural Year 2013. The exhibition is divided into 6 sections: - Bright colours, new lights; - Organic shapes; - Distant cultures, ancient traditions; - The luxury of the materials; - The nature in our home; - The world of symbolism.
