Historical Lab 4 "Raw materials and Art Nouveau" in Aveiro - 26 January 2013 In the framework of the project Art Nouveau & Ecology supported by the programme Culture 2007-2013 of the European Commission, The Réseau Art Nouveau Network, as a network of cities aiming to preserve, study and promote Art Nouveau at a European scale, organises a one-day symposium on January 26th 2013 on Raw materials and Art Nouveau.

Exhibition The Cradle of Art Nouveau: Victor Horta and Brussels at the District Architecture Center in Washington – from 19 October 2012 to 28 February 2013 The Cradle of Art Nouveau: Victor Brussels is a panel exhibition that explores the grandeur and beauty of many of Horta's residential works, including the Hôtel Tassel, Hôtel Solvay, Hôtel van Eetvelde, and his own home, now the Horta Museum. The exhibit is complemented by a film on Art Nouveau.
The exhibition was organized by the Monuments and Sites Department of the Brussels-Capital Region in cooperation with the Washington Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, and VISITBRUSSELS, the Belgian capital's tourism agency.

Celebration « La Pedrera, 100 years » at La Pedrera in Barcelona It is almost a hundred years of the signature of the document certifying the completion of La Pedrera works (on 31 October 1912) and the Fundació CatalunyaCaixa wants to celebrate with all the residents of the city and visitors.
To commemorate the centenary, a programme of activities has been put together that is a blend of the essentially festive occasions typical of any celebration together with various cultural and artistic events related to the singular nature of a monumental building such as La Pedrera, designed by the architect Antoni Gaudí.

Presentation of the Réseau Art Nouveau Network in the framework of the Belgian Week at the Wallonia’s window in Havana – from 12 to 15 November 2012 Member of the Network, Havana collaborates to the main objective of this organization, studying, protecting and promoting the worldwide Art Nouveau heritage, which is reflected in Cuba through the Catalan influence and the Belgian and Parisian Fine-Arts Schools.
For this occasion, the activities of the Network in the framework of the “Art Nouveau & Ecologie” project (2010-2015, with the support of the European Commission) are presented, notably the itinerary exhibition “Natures of Art Nouveau”, which will start in October 2013 and travel in all the partner cities of the project until 2015.

Workshop “The adolescence of a century, Art Nouveau” at the Wallonia’s window in Havana - from 13 to 15 November 2012 A workshop dedicated to teenagers, “the adolescence of a century, Art Nouveau” is scheduled from 13 to 15 November 2012, with the aim to bring together this interesting public to make aware by the social project of the Historian Office of the city with this centenary heritage which is reflected in different ways in the city. Conferences, walks and graphical production, dedicated to Art Nouveau in Cuba and its relations with different influences received in the island are organized during 3 sessions.

Conference “Art Nouveau: the first modern international style” at La Pedrera in Barcelona – 19 November 2012 A panoramic vision of different Art Nouveau styles worldwide, which explains how each region or each city created its own style, starting from its local tradition and reinterpreting it through a cosmopolitan look.
Conference in English, with simultaneous translation into Catalan and into sign language, given by Paul Greenhalgh, lecturer-teacher of Modern Art at East Anglia University and the director of the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts.

During this conference will be presented the International congress coupDefouet, a meeting specialized on the theme of Modernism-Art Nouveau which will be held in Barcelona in June 2013.

Participation of the Network in the International fair of the cultural heritage at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris – from 8 to 11 November 2012 The Réseau Art Nouveau Network will attend from 8 to 11 November 2012 the International fair of cultural heritage (Paris), whose edition 2012 is dedicated to the “eco-friendly heritage”, a theme which matches especially with our project “Art Nouveau & Ecology” (2010-2015) of which we will present the activities.

Mackintosh at the Grand in Glasgow 25-28 October 2012, organized by the CRM Society
This all-inclusive package will take you to a selection of the most important sites at which to view the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his contemporaries, who together are known as the creators of the Glasgow Style.
Explore the genius of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his contemporaries, beginning with a reception and illustrated talk at the hotel on Thursday evening. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday there will be a full day tour by coach, with a qualified Blue Badge guide to the most important Mackintosh properties that are available in and around Glasgow. Reopening of the Hotel Winssinger in Brussels - 13 October 2012 This magnificent mansion built in 1897 by renowned architect Victor Horta enjoyed a restoration, which preserved the elements of Art Nouveau architecture, while transforming it into a modern exhibition space for artists to provide an exceptional setting. It hosts now the Paris-Beijing Gallery dedicated to the discovery and promotion of a new generation of Asian photographers in order to create an aesthetic bridge between East and the West.

Participation of the Network in the International colloquium "Heritage of the Ecology and Ecology of the Heritage” in Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines University – from 11 to 13 October 2012 On the occasion of this original initiative, gathering in a same reflection two fields of research, which are not often inclined to meet - ecology and heritage - the Réseau Art Nouveau Network was invited to present its project “Art Nouveau & Ecology” during this colloquium which held from 11 to 13 October 2012.

Unbuilt Mackintosh at the Lighthouse, Glasgow - from 11 to 28 October 2012 The Lighthouse celebrates the Creative Mackintosh Festival with the unveiling of an exciting new exhibition, showcasing stunning architectural models based on the unbuilt designs of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The models produced by Glasgow-based model-makers Ozturk, are fantastically accurate and help us to appreciate Mackintosh’s architectural vision.

Creative Mackintosh Festival in Glasgow - from 15 to 28 October 2012 Barcelona has Gaudi, Chicago has Frank Lloyd Wright and Glasgow has the unique legacy of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Mackintosh, one of The Glasgow Four, helped to take art and architecture into the modern era and was a crucial figure in the explosion of creativity that characterises Art Nouveau in the early part of the 20th century.
Over the space of two weeks we invite you to join the celebration of this exciting heritage.
The Festival crosses genres, from theatre and music to design and comedy.
