Jugendstil in den Marollen - ARAU

Das volkstümliche Marollen-Viertel ist von jeher ein Ort des Zulaufs: erfinderische Menschen und neue soziale Lösungen. Dieses Viertel ist ebenfalls die Wiege des Kampfes um die eigene Stadt, da die Einwohner schon 1969 die Renovierung der bestehenden Gebäude für die dort lebende Bevölkerung forderten. Um die Jahrhundertwende wurden dort zwei Schulen, ein großräumiges Lagerhaus für Weine und Spirituosen, eine Sozialsiedlung vom Typ Phalanstère und eine Künstlerwerkstatt im Jugendstil gebaut. Auf den Fassaden treffen wir auf ein Zusammenspiel von unterschiedlichen Volumen und Materialien, welches diesen architektonischen Stil zu einem großen Erfolg werden ließ. Diese Führung von zweiundhalb Stunden hebt die Glanzlichter des Brüsseler Jugendstils hervor und auch ihre Renovierung in Bezug auf die Identität dieses volkstümlichen Viertels im Stadtzentrum. Le Corbusier et la photographie

Exposition organisée par le CIVA, Musée des beaux-arts de La Chaux-de-Fonds et la Fondation Le Corbusier de Paris Le Corbusier a rapidement saisi l'efficacité démonstrative et promotionnelle de la photographie. Durant toute sa vie, il a fait de l'image des usages différenciés : les voyages ont été l'occasion de réunir de nombreux documents d'une extrême richesse qu'il a utilisés dans son travail d'architecte, d'urbaniste, de théoricien et de plasticien. Il s'est ensuite servi d'un vaste répertoire iconographique pour illustrer ses écrits et ses expositions. Enfin, il a construit son image sur et à l'aide du travail de plusieurs photographes renommés : Fred Boissonnas, Lucien Hervé, René Burri, pour ne citer que les plus connus. La photographie a donc, d'une part, étayé la construction logique de son travail d'architecture et lui a permis, d'autre part, de construire sa propre image. Sa personnalité, sa pensée architecturale et urbanistique, ses réalisations continuent d'interroger les spécialistes et d'intéresser le grand public, sans que jamais ne s'établisse de vérité consensuelle. La personnalité intellectuelle et professionnelle de l'architecte persiste à soulever des débats passionnés entre partisans et détracteurs.
