Exhibition Henry van de Velde. Letters of architects at the KBR in Brussels – from 26 September to 30 November 2013
On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Henry van de Velde’s birth, the Bibliothèque royale de Belgique (Royal Library of Belgium), the Centrum Vlaamse architectuurarchieven (Flamish Center of architecture archives) and the Archives & Musée de la Littérature (Archives and Museum of Litterature) pay tribute to this great architect through an exhibition devoted to his correspondence.
The exhibition “Henry van de Velde. Letters of architects” let us enter into the intimacy of friendships built up by this great Belgian in this world of international architecture. It covers his “second Belgian period” and the last years of his life, spent in Switzerland, from 1926 to 1957.
