To celebrate the reopening of Villa Majorelle, a friendly and festive program awaits you!
A renovated house
Under the leadership of Camille André, heritage architect, restaurateurs and specialized companies have embarked on a meticulous and respectful renovation of the building, as lived by Louis Majorelle and his family. The reception rooms on the ground floor (dining room, living room, terrace) and the bedroom on the first floor will be open to visitors, as well as the exceptional staircase and stained glass windows by Jacques Gruber.
A final phase of works not requiring the closure to the public is scheduled in 2021-2022. It provides for the recreation of the bathroom and the wardrobe adjoining the bedroom and the creation of didactic and educational spaces on the first floor, as well as the renovation of Louis Majorelle’s workshop on the 2nd floor.
A more welcoming villa!
The Villa Majorelle is now more accessible! To find out all about the house and its history, you will find information along the route in French and English, as well as free visit applications (French / English / German). Fancy a guided tour? Meet on Sunday at 11 a.m.
The accessibility of the Villa is reinforced. An elevator allows people with reduced mobility to discover the ground floor. A virtual visit, a tactile model or even LSF and audio description applications are available. For younger visitors, a game booklet is given free of charge at reception.
The house is fragile: to preserve its parquet floors, it is not possible to visit it with stiletto heels and overshoes will be at your disposal.
