RANN Summer School 2025: Secession, 30 June – 4 July 2025, Ljubljana

The Réseau Art Nouveau Network (RANN), in partnership with the National Museum of Slovenia, is pleased to announce the 2025 edition of its Summer School in Ljubljana, dedicated to the Art Nouveau movement and its intersections with conservation and curatorial practice.

This Summer School offers a focused exploration of Secession heritage, with special attention to applied arts—objects often overlooked in historical narratives but central to understanding the period’s social and artistic legacy. Participants will engage with expert-led tours, access museum collections including non-public depots, and take part in hands-on discussions on restoration and conservation.

Key features:

  • In-person lectures, guided visits, and conservation workshops

  • Insight into Art Nouveau collections and architectural heritage in Ljubljana.

  • Lessons conducted in Slovenian, with two sessions in English and online.

  • Free of charge (lunch included; travel and accommodation not covered).

Who can apply:

Students in art history, architecture, heritage studies, and related disciplines.

Limited to a maximum of 15 participants.
